You may LEGALLY swipe ANYONE through a turn style with your unlimited metrocard as long as 18 minutes has past since your last swipe and provided that you are not selling your swipe. I would have been helping people out for years, if I had known this. This also makes me feel a little better about the rampant MTA fare hikes — a lot more people will be getting free rides from now on.
